The Garrett 739619-5004S GTP-38R is the most popular replacement turbo charger for the stock GTP-38 turbo on the 7.3L diesel. This turbo will only fit on the F series pickups and Excursions from 1999 1/2 through 2003.
A complete "Drop In" Performance replacement turbo as it comes as a complete unit with no adapters or other engine modifications needed to install.
For protection against UPS mis-delivering this to an incorrect address, THIS UNIT WILL SHIP SIGNATURE REQUIRED.

NOTE: Garrett's PARTS LIST included has a typographical error stating that it includes a V-BAND clamp when in reality it is the flat band clamp for the inlet hose at the turbo.
Garrett also has included a new turbo outlet o-ring but it is for the GTP-38 Early 99 turbo and will not fit this turbo. I will include the correct turbo outlet o-ring with every turbo at no additional charge.

INSTALLATION OF AN AFTERMARKET COMPRESSOR WHEEL WILL VOID THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY
When upgrading your turbocharger to the Garrett Ball Bearing turbo, your intake system will have the capability to develop boost pressures in excess of what the computer is expecting. This will cause the PCM to open the wastegate prematurely, defueling the engine. The purpose of the overboost regulator is to regulate the boost pressure read by the MAP sensor. Overboosting can set an "overboost code" that sets the Service Engine Soon light and will cause the PCM to defuel the system when is reports pressures of 23 psi or more
