Exhaust Backpressure Valve piston rebuild kit
Is your EBPV leaking oil? You may be able to rebuild your pedestal rather than having to buy an expensive new one!
The key to a sucessful EBPV rebuild is to get any signs of scratching and wear from the piston cylinder. You may want to consider taking your pedestal to a machine shop that has the proper tools to fully polish (not hone) the inside cylinder area. Don't use a brake cylinder hone as a hone will usually put more scratches in the cylinder than you started with.
Ford has used different pedestals on the 99-03 models so make sure that your pedistal looks like the one pictured here before ordering this kit.The pedestal usually has an hour-glass shape where the turbo mounts to the pedestal.
It will not fit the 94-97 pedistals.
This kit WILL fit most all early 1999 to 2003 GTP38 wastegated turbo pedestals.
Make sure your pedestal is the correct, rebuildable pedestal before ordering. Sorry, no returns on opened EBPV kits.

- Oil supply O-ring (2)
- Oil drain O-ring (2)
- Retaining ring
- End cover with O-ring
- Piston rod assembly
- Jam nut
- Latch end with slide lock
